Found wooden finial, wood and etched brass

This model is made from a roof ornament that broke off this building during a storm. Philip Crewe turned it into a windmill because that’s what this building used to be. It was part of a waterworks run by Robert Mylne.

Robert’s two sons and six daughters grew up here. His son William later took over his job and designed most of the buildings on this site.
