This exhibition includes printed comics, digital comics and original artworks on paper, card and board.
The works on display represent a range of perspectives, experiences and imaginations.
Some works include swear words, slurs and discriminatory language. In some cases, creators have reproduced this language to report on their lives, or they have reclaimed derogatory words for themselves. Some of the words creators have used have changed meaning over time.
Some works include references to discrimination, oppression and violence. Some respond to homophobia and transphobia.
Some works reference drug use.
Some works reference dysphoria and mental health.
Some works reference or depict sex.
