Your support makes our online and UK-wide exhibitions and learning programmes possible.
Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration is the new name for House of Illustration, the UK’s first and only charity dedicated to illustration. We’re best known for our six years in Granary Square where we curated and toured exhibitions on a wide-range of subjects: Cuban graphic design, the refugee crisis, shōjo manga, feminist comics and popular children’s literature.
We work with schools to embed illustration in primary learning, support communities to tell their stories and support illustrators to develop their practice.
We’re on an exciting journey, restoring a forgotten but fascinating heritage site to become our new home. In the meantime, our nationwide exhibition tours and our learning programmes continue. We do not receive regular government support and will not be able to generate ticket income until our new Centre opens, and so your support is more important now than ever.
You can support us by joining as a Friend of the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration or making a one off donation online. Donations of all sizes make a real difference and help us to support the future of illustration – thank you.
If you share our commitment to illustration and its impact on our lives, we would be delighted to welcome you to our very special community of supporters and patrons, known as Illustration Angels. Becoming an Illustration Angel brings you closer to the Centre’s work, enabling us to celebrate and champion illustration together. To find out more about membership, please contact Tom.
